Pierre Loti(1850-1923) was a marine and a French writer, he created his lover, a magnificent woman with all qualities he appreciates in a muse for the times he was not with his wife! For the moments he was crossing seas and oceans. He always wrote letters to her or them when he was at home with his family.He made of this an unconditional platonic love, a reason to live, and a comfort in the hard moments of being far of his beloved wife and son. After his death, his son Samuel, was in desperate research of this woman or women of his father, looking even in a cemetery of a far exotic country, when his father kissed the grave of this love of him! He understood after years, that these letters and poems of infinite love was a genial Platonic source of inspiration and energy for his father, that needed to be for work, very far of him and his mother. How different is now a-days, when people can order a robotic lover, thinking in all the anatomical and physical specs they may desire! Something without a soul, not even human!The times of intellectual reflection and cultural power, looks very far away! O tempora, o mores! Will say Cicerone!
