Years ago, George Harrison and John Lennon went to India to learn about Meditation, searching in the Hinduism, especially Harrison the understanding of clear thinking, to find the true Harrison, far away of the Rockstar, a human, a person.
Steve Jobs went to India in 1974, in the research of Buddhism, to be able to clean up his thinking of economical obstacles, and understand the connection in between his technical skills, and the final customer to them. Getting out of the crowd, the speculation and the market rules. His creation and the final customer needs to be connected interacting in a trustful report!
Tom Cruise holding the fundamentals of Scientology wanted to get rid of old problematics, traumas, and heavy feelings, that didn’t let him enjoy his life. Having money, fame and success, was a nonsense if there was not a clean soul to have all that.
Now a days research is not part of the learning, concentration and personal development to live and do better as a person, or to be able to clean the mind to create something good for humanity. It is all a materialistic research, because people are born full of capacities and feelings, and mixing in society and family become an homologated empty loser!
